Advanced Painting

This course develops the individual’s engagement with the process of painting. Various techniques and skills need to be understood in order to effectively apply paint to canvas. Yet this aspect is not in itself a difficult undertaking. It is however the construction of the painting in terms of composition, light, colour, texture and countless other elements that defines the veracity of a work of art. Work is usually done from direct observation focusing on specific outcomes each term.

Prerequisites: Students must have completed Painting for Beginners at Bapëa Art School before enrolling in this course.
