Workshop : The Painted Print

From ancient forms of woodblock printing of China and Japan along with modern techniques and materials, artists have been inspired to explore new methods of printmaking.
One such Artist is Australian, Cressida Campbell who combines her love and the disciplines of printmaking and the freedom of painting to produce one off hand painted block prints.
At the workshop
The process follows drawing the subject / design onto a block, simple carving before painting the block and finally taking a single impression.
Every print taken from the block will be unique.
Bring along your paints (oils) etc. and drawings for inspiration (Still Life is ideal)
Times
There will be 2 sessions over 2 weekends.
Both on a Sunday, 11am – 4pm – Sunday 19 & 26 October
Please consider bringing a plate of lunch to share!
Fees
$130 plus materials (approx. $30) including blocks, cutters and paper.
A $ 50 deposit is requested at time of registration with the balance payable by the date of workshop commencement.
